If you are a movie connoisseur, you may have heard the name in The Prestige. The man did wonders for innovation and electricity. So, how does this relate to a car you may ask?
Well, if you have read our previous posts about the ball and chain we call oil, then you know we have thoughts on where we should go. It can start with managing your consumption. But, what about the people who want to take it a step further?
Tesla motors is taking steps in solving those problems. They currently have a vehicle that has the largest radius for electric cars. These people mean business.
Everyone knows throughout history that products improve. Lets look at the computer for instance. The computer started around 1940. They were huge machines that took up whole rooms. Now, you can get a computer that is no wider than the desk it sits on. The point is, over time, people have invested money into something, and that money used to purchase products was able to be used for new technology, and in turn makes cheaper products. Such is the cycle of products and technology. How much does a DvD player cost now, as opposed to when the first one was made? See the point?
If you are passionate about relinquishing the hold that oil has on you, go out and try and find something that is alternative energy. It doesn’t have to be an $80,000 car. What about an electric lawn mower. An electric scooter. As money is invested into the the ideas, we will start to see better technology. Next thing you know there will be a battery powered car that can drive from San Fransisco to Portland in one charge.
